In Scrum, a product increment is anything new that was just finished in the most recent sprint on top of what has been built earlier, and has been integrated, tested and prepared for delivery or deployment.

The number of sprints required to build a product is not predetermined. It depends on the overall scope of work. If the development process takes 12 weeks, for instance, most likely, it will require four to six sprints.
